Entrepreneurship Event to Feature OU Tech Leaders

A program designed to provide practical and strategic advice for early-stage companies or individuals looking to take their innovations or technology to market is scheduled for Mar. 2, 2023 in downtown Oklahoma City.

The event, “Spark Series: Tips and Resources for Building a Technology-Based Company in Oklahoma,” will feature experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals that manage, fund and advise startups in multiple fields. Presenters include John Hanak, J.D., chief innovation and corporate officer and executive director of the Office of Innovation and Corporate Partnerships, Tom Wavering, executive director of the Tom Love Innovation Hub and instructor of entrepreneurship and economic development in the Price College of Business, David Kinsinger, J.D., executive director of the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic in the Price College of Business, and others.

“We are encouraging all of our founders/researchers with an interest in commercializing technology to attend. Those who do will gain insights and exposure into the opportunities associated with moving technologies into the marketplace,” Hanak said.

Co-presented by the Office of Innovation and Corporate Partnerships at the University of Oklahoma and The Verge, the event will take place at the Skyline Events Center in downtown Oklahoma City’s Bricktown district from 1-6 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 2, 2023.
