NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma will bring the community together to ring in the holiday season with an expanded Holiday Lights event on the South Oval on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m. The event will serve as the kickoff to a nightly light show projected onto Bizzell Memorial Library from 6-9:30 p.m. through Dec. 24.

OU students, faculty, staff and the public are invited to join this year’s festivities, which will also feature food trucks, s’mores and Santa Claus. The reimagined Holiday Lights event is an opportunity for friends and families to create a new tradition and connect with loved ones while celebrating the festive season alongside the OU community.

Attendees are invited to help brighten a child’s holiday season by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to help Fill the Trolley. All toys collected at the event will support the Cleveland County Christmas Store.

The Holiday Lights event is a part of OU’s Soval Series, a suite of signature student experiences designed to foster connection, school spirit and memorable traditions among the student body. The Soval Series is sponsored by Riverwind Casino, OU Health, Oklahoma Complete Health, and Hilliary. For more information, visit ou.edu/soval-series.
