OU Partners with United Way to Make a Difference Across the State
OU faculty, staff and students are making a difference in communities across Oklahoma by donating to United Way. Learn how you can help by reading the campus-specific information below.
Norman Campus
OU’s annual campaign to benefit United Way of Norman began on Sept. 18 and will continue until Dec. 15 – giving us about three months to make a difference.
Donations to United Way of Norman help more than 63,000 people each year, including members of the university family. Families who need help finding food and housing. Children dealing with the aftermath of abuse. People struggling with addiction. People who need our support to get them back on their feet. Giving changes everything. Help us fight for better education, financial stability and health for every person in the Norman and OU community.
A few exciting updates have been introduced for this year’s OU United Way of Norman campaign:
- 10% of all donations to the OU campaign will directly benefit the OU Food Pantry.
- Each pledge by Nov. 17 of $25 or more earns you a complimentary pass to eat at the Residential Dining Halls, courtesy of OU Food Services.

Ways You Can Help:
- Make Your Pledge: Even $1 makes a difference! Here are three easy ways to give (payroll deductions are an option):
- Online: Donate online by clicking here.
- Phone: Call the United Way office at (405) 329-2025 and make your pledge by phone with the United Way of Norman team.
- Mail: Mail in your gift to 570 24th Ave NW, Suite 110, Norman, OK 73069.
- Invite the United Way of Norman to You: Do you have an upcoming staff meeting or event this semester that we could have 10 minutes to come and share how the United Way of Norman positively impacts the health, education, and financial stability of our community? Email unitedwaycampaign@ou.edu to get it on your team’s calendar.
- Get Your Department Involved: Having fun is often the best way to promote giving. Departments can get involved by hosting creative activities like a bake sale, potluck meal, chili cookoff, auction and more. If your department has an event coming up, email details to unitedwaycampaign@ou.edu so it can be promoted.

Health Sciences Center
The United Way of Central Oklahoma is helping to build a resilient, healthy and inclusive community by rigorously investing in approximately 140 programs at over 70 different partner agencies. This year, the United Way is celebrating its centennial year serving central Oklahomans since 1923.
The United Way campaign on the OU Health Sciences Center campus will be taking place in the month of November. Learn more here.
