Top Things to Know About Next Friday’s Inauguration Events

Next week, OU will celebrate the inauguration of Joseph Harroz Jr. as the university’s 15th president. Make sure you’re aware of these important details if you plan to attend.
Be Aware of Venue Security Protocols at Lloyd Noble Center:
Please be aware that security screenings, Clear Bag Policy and prohibited items will be in place.
All faculty, staff, students, and guests will pass through a security screening before entry to Lloyd Noble Center. For quicker entry, guests are encouraged to not bring bags. Only clear bags can be brought into Lloyd Noble Center. Due to security requirements, strollers and car seats are not permitted.
Masking Expected:
Masking is expected at indoor events at OU when not eating or drinking.
Inauguration Ceremony Entrances:
Guests should enter through the entrances on the east side of Lloyd Noble Center.
Faculty who are processing should arrive by 9 a.m. and report to the South Tunnel of the Lloyd Noble Center to prepare for the processional.

How Do I RSVP?
Students and staff are invited to attend and may RSVP here.
Faculty are invited to attend and may RSVP here.
Faculty are invited to participate in the inauguration processional and be seated on the arena floor for the ceremony. Members of the processional should arrive by 9 a.m. and report to the South Tunnel of the Lloyd Noble Center to prepare for the processional.
Faculty participating in the processional should wear academic regalia. For faculty who do not have their own academic regalia, University Events can provide University of Oklahoma rental regalia.
Rental regalia can be picked up at the event and should be turned in immediately following the ceremony. Rental regalia may be reserved on the faculty RSVP form.
