The Institute for Community and Society Transformation (ICAST) has announced three seed grant funding opportunities, each for $20,000. In addition, the Data Institute for Societal Challenges will give an additional $10,000 to the winning teams that have a data science component as part of their research plan. This means that recipients can receive up to $30,000 for their projects.
One of the purposes of this opportunity is to foster the creation and/or development of multi-disciplinary research teams in key areas related to community and society transformation.
A second purpose is to increase competitiveness of OU multi-disciplinary research teams to compete for external funding.
In line with ICAST’s mission and strategic plan, this seed grant opportunity focuses on proposals that align within or across these areas of emphasis:
1) Equity and Opportunity;
2) Data, Technology, and Society;
3) Native Nations Sovereignty and Cultural Continuance.
