Summer Housing

Keep your summer simple and fun by staying on campus! The summer housing application is open from Monday, March 25 at 9 a.m. CDT through Wednesday, July 10.

Please note: Summer housing will be available in Cross Village and Traditions Square Apartments. Assignments will be made based on application completion date and eligibility for each location.

Cross Village

• Upperclass students who are either enrolled in at least one summer class or are employed for the summer by the University are eligible to live in Cross Village.
   
  
• Incoming first-year students must be enrolled in at least one summer class to be eligible to live in Cross Village.
   

Traditions Square Apartments

• Students who select a room at Traditions Square for the 2024-2025 academic year by May 1 will be eligible to live in Traditions Square. Students who are eligible for both Cross Village and Traditions Square will be assigned to Traditions Square. 

• Cross Village: Sunday, May 12 - Saturday, August 3
  
  
• Traditions Square: Sunday, May 12 - Thursday, August 1


• On the application, students will be asked to select their move-in date. Students must apply at least four days in advance of their desired move-in date.


• Sunday, July 14, is the last move-in date a student can select.

• Students will be billed for their contract in full upfront and the total amount will be calculated based on the date they move in through the end of the contract (August 1 for students assigned to Traditions Square, August 3 for students assigned to Cross Village). There is a flat $20/night summer rate, regardless of the floor plan.


• Students will be billed after they have checked in and will see a charge on their next month's Bursar statement.


• Students who check out on or before Monday, July 29 will receive a partial refund based on the day they move out, as long as they follow the proper checkout procedures. Students will receive their refund within one week of their check-out date.


• Students who check out after Monday, July 29 will not receive a refund.

Meal Plans

• Commuter meal plan contracts for summer 2024 will be available in early to mid-May.
   

Communities

• Cross Village is a co-ed community. Students of all gender identities will live on the same floor, hall or wing, but units are assigned as same-sex spaces.
