Oklahoma-city based architect John Robison, and OU alumnus, recently passed away. John played an integral role in the Paseo Art District’s legacy. John was a recognized architect, who helped develop the Paseo into a thriving environment for the arts. In 1975, he founded his business, Robison & Associates Architects, in the heart of the Paseo. At the same time, he would become the owner of Paseo Gallery One and operate both businesses in the same building. Today, Paseo Gallery One is one of the longest-running galleries and has become a cornerstone for visitors in the district. John also served on the Paseo Arts Association board for 20 years before being made a lifetime member. John Robison’s contributions to Oklahoma City, including the Paseo, will not be forgotten.
