Associate Professor of Architecture Awarded $14,000 Grant in Support of Participation in 2018 Venice Biennale

Stephanie Pilat, director of the division of architecture, recently secured a $14,000 grant as part of the OU-Norman Campus Research Council Faculty Investment Program (FIP). These funds will support the installation of an American School exhibit at the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale, which runs from May to November 2018. In her application, Pilat wrote that “The American School Project aims to celebrate the long-overlooked history of the truly original design pedagogy and practices that emerged at OU in the 1940s and which continues to inspire architectural practice around the world today. An installation in the Venice Architecture Biennale allows the OU College of Architecture to reassert its position in architectural history.”
