Lisa Maslovskaya came to the University of Oklahoma after emigrating from Moscow, Russia and pursued a degree in creative media production and French. During her time at the Gaylord College of Journalism, Maslovskaya was able to flourish in multiple creative spaces and cultivate her skillset for her future.

University of Oklahoma honors student Juan Dills was named a 2024 Truman Scholar. Dills, an undergraduate student in the Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work, plans to pursue a Master of Social Work with a desire to address problems around imprisonment and reincarceration in U.S. prisons.

Maddy Keyes, a senior from the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication, has been chosen as a Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellow to explore the ecological grief caused by climate change for the Inuit in Greenland.

University of Oklahoma students Jaron Davidson and Olivia Mitchell, and recent alumnus Avery Stevens have received Fulbright U.S. Student awards for the 2024-2025 academic year from the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Nikola Dragicevic, another recent alumnus, received a Fulbright U.S. Student award for the 2023-2024 cycle early this spring after initially being named an alternate.
