B.S. Mechanical Engineering – University of Oklahoma, 2018

While at OU, Clayton served as Chair of the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Student Advisory Council, President and Vice-President of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Treasurer of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and as a Gallogly College Dean’s Leadership Council Mentor.  Outside of class, he was involved in the Sooner Rover Team as Analysis Lead, Mechanical Engineering Capstone Lead, Lead Welder, and Mobility Design Engineer; as well as Laser Cutting Lead, Undergraduate Liaison, and Structures Assembly Engineer for the Crimson Skies Design Build Fly team that earned 5th place internationally in 2016. 

Clayton serves as an industry advisor for the Sooner Rover Team and the OU Chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Career

Clayton is a Structural Analysis Engineer for The Boeing Company, supporting both new product development and sustainment.

Areas of Interest

Roving Platforms for Planetary Exploration, Finite Element Analysis, Fracture Mechanics, Smart Materials and Sensing, Rapid Prototyping, and Composite Structures.
