Congratulations to OU Sociology PhD Candidate Joshua Davis, who accepted a tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Sociology at the University of New Hampshire. Josh will be starting at UNH in the Fall of 2023 and will continue to teach and do research in the areas of crime, punishment, race, quantitative methods, and religion. Joshua will defend his dissertation, “Religion and Crime Reconsidered: The roles of Race and Institutional Withdrawal” this spring and his committee includes Sam Perry (Chair), Trina Hope, Cyrus Schleifer, and Mike Crowson. While Josh will miss the friendship and mentoring of the wonderful faculty and graduate student colleagues at OU Sociology, he is eager to begin the next stage of his career alongside the dedicated scholars in New Hampshire.
Well done, Josh! UNH is getting an Excellent Scholar!
