Congratulations to OU Sociology doctoral student Carrie M. Leslie who has been awarded a National Science Foundation NRT (National Research Traineeship) Fellowship! The NSF NRT fellowship is designed to facilitate the development and implementation of new ways to use existing Earth observation data in order to enhance biodiversity conservation and ecosystem management and begins July 1st. The fellowship includes using interdisciplinary approaches in Earth Observation Science for Society and Sustainability (EOS3) and aeroecology. Carrie received this award to pursue her research in Environmental Sociology, Social Justice, and Regenerative Development.
