SLIS Faculty Hosts Hands-On Program on the Maker Movement for Older Adults

January 10, 2025

Norman Public Library West and OU School of Library and Information Studies invite older adults (55+) to our hands-on program about the “maker movement.”

Our five weekly sessions on Thursdays (February 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, and March 6) from 10-11:30 AM will introduce the maker movement, explore different approaches to digital and physical creations, provide various hands-on making activities, and discuss what making means to lives after retirement.

Registration is required at https://pioneer.libnet.info/event/12735261 or by emailing yongju@ou.edu.

This program is part of an OU research project through the School of Library and Information Studies department.

Feel free to contact Dr. Yong Ju Jung (yongju@ou.edu) or Dr. Ellen Rubenstein (erubenstein@ou.edu) with any questions.
