See what our department and our amazing people are doing at OU and beyond
The OU Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oklahoma held its annual Awards Lunch on Thursday, April 25th, at the Noun Hotel. The event, now named the Impact Awards Luncheon (formerly Kaleidoscope), celebrates the significant contributions of outstanding students, faculty, staff, and alumni to the university community.
University of Oklahoma students Jaron Davidson and Olivia Mitchell, and recent alumnus Avery Stevens have received Fulbright U.S. Student awards for the 2024-2025 academic year from the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Nikola Dragicevic, another recent alumnus, received a Fulbright U.S. Student award for the 2023-2024 cycle early this spring after initially being named an alternate.
Every year, the English department proudly presents a number of awards to outstanding students. Awards are given for superior writing, academic achievement, and more. Students are nominated by faculty and their work is evaluated by a dedicated committee.
You can learn more about the awards available to students here. The Office of First-Year Composition also awards student writers.
