Located on the third floor of Oklahoma Memorial Union, the Career Center at the University of Oklahoma is a one-stop shop to help connect students and alumni with the resources they need to achieve a promising career. The Career Center hosts several career fairs a year to expose students to potential employers, hosts free events like professional headshots to use for your online portfolio, and offers job interview preparation like resume critiques and interview prep, and so much more.
Some of these events include the recent Careerapalooza, which took place in the fall on OU's South Oval. The Careerapalooza allowed students across campus to meet and connect with potential employers Paycom, Goldman Sachs, Williams, and so many more in hopes of jumpstarting their professional lives. Career Fairs, Careerapalooza, and similar events are some of the largest recruiting events at OU with some fairs seeing 140+ companies in attendance.
Students can also get involved with the Career Center's newest initiative, Career Communities. Career Communities offer six communities that are based on industry instead of major. These communities help students narrow their career aspirations into manageable and relevant fields of interest.

Students are also encouraged to explore more than one Career Community. If a student is unsure about their career path or hasn't found a Career Community that fits their interests, they can find helpful information and support through Career Exploration, a seventh community offered through the program.
