I hope to leave the legacy of chasing your passions and being kind and connected to everyone. I pursue music composition because that’s what I’m passionate about but I also pursue leadership organizations and nonprofit organizations because I’m passionate about those, too.
Founding and leading the OU student organization Composers United has been my proudest moment because I created an organization where performers and composers create a new piece each semester and premiere their works at the end of the semester. In total, Composers United had over 60 members from fall and spring. So many of the members use Composers United as their safe space on campus, which is just another great way this organization helps my OU Family.
I want future students to know that anything is possible at the University of Oklahoma. OU gives a wide amount of opportunities for really just anything and everything. We have so many research opportunities, student organizations, academic areas, and clubs to get plugged into.
My OU experience far exceeded my expectations. The people here have been so generous, and I truly feel like I found such a strong community during my time at OU. From the student organizations to my academic pursuits, I've been able to create my own OU Family. Everyone, from my professors to staff to my classmates, made every day worth it.
I am moving to Scotland to earn my Masters in Music Composition at the prestigious Royal Conservatoire, a top 10 institution for the performing arts!
