The course should be an interactive learning environment focused on applications of skills and content.
The Student Learning Center, part of the Academic Success Center, offers free, CRLA Certified tutoring through Action Tutoring, including walk-in, small group, and faculty-directed sessions. Action tutoring begins in the 2nd week of each semester and operates across various campus locations, including Wagner Hall and Bizzell Memorial Library. Schedules are posted at the start of each semester and may be affected by University holidays and weather closings.
The OU Writing Center is a pedagogical service that supports OU undergraduate and graduate students as well as members of the Norman/OKC community. The primary goal of our services is to help writers learn something they can use in the future. The Academic Life Coaching program at The University of Oklahoma is an innovative mentoring approach designed to provide individualized student support. The program provides a specially trained coaching mentor who meets regularly with their students throughout the semester. In those sessions, the student and the Academic Life Coach work together to identify stressors and establish goals that lead to academic success and degree completion.
The University of Oklahoma provides comprehensive resources for health and wellbeing through Goddard Health Center, which offers medical services and psychological counseling. The center includes allergy injections, ADD/ADHD testing, immunizations, and more. Additionally, OU Fit + Rec promotes physical activity and social engagement with facilities like Sarkey's Fitness Center, featuring diverse fitness and recreational options.
