Shreya Vemuganti

Shreya Vemuganti earned her Ph.D. degree from the University of New Mexico and joined the faculty of the OU School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science in August 2021.

Shreya focuses her educational and research efforts on the behavior of composite materials comprising of polymers, cementitious materials, nanomaterials and metals, with an emphasis on fiber reinforced polymers (FRP) composites. Her research includes topics in Nano modified cementitious materials, polymer concretes, polymeric resins, FRP composites, 3D printed cementitious mixes with reinforcements, thermoplastic based structural materials with enhanced mechanical, physical and chemical properties. The ultimate aim of his research is to develop materials and methods that will protect infrastructure from aging induced deterioration and changing climatic conditions. She teaches materials, advanced materials and design of concrete structures with FRP reinforcement at the undergraduate and graduate level.
