Netscape uses a different Window (not the Browser Window) for Incoming and Outgoing Electronic Mail.
Althought you can use other E-Mail software (such as Eudora or others) the Mail Window in Netscape is actually all you will need..., and there are several advantages (...especially to using it with WebStudy).
Here is what the Mail Window looks like:
(Remember..., your Mail Window may appear "slightly
different" (color/size etc.) than this example...!
The Mail Window is divided into 3 areas called Panes.
The Top Left Pane contains the folders in which your electronic mail is organized.
After you select one of the Folders (above)...,
The Top Right Pane gives you a listing of the messages
contained in that Folder. Each piece of Electronic
Mail is identified by Sender | Subject | Date, and
the message is marked whether it has been read.
When you "click-on" one of the messages...,
The message will appear in the Bottom Pane. (The message contents Pane is Yellow in this example)
You must have your Mail (and/or News) Server and Identity Information correctly installed! If your machine uses another e-mail system...., consider using Netscapes E-mail. (at least while you are using WebStudy).
For assistance..., ask your (Campus) System Administrator, or (Private) Service Providor for HELP!
