Chapter 10
WebStudy Distance
Learning on the World Wide Web
Internet Navigator...
A Simplified Guide to Netscape GOLD
Creating Your Webpage...,
Using the Netscape Navigator GOLD Editor
WebStudy (until now), has
had you using the Netscape Navigator "Browser"
Window.
Now you will be using the Netscape
Navigator "Editor"
Window. If you haven't before..., now is the time to use two
separate Netscape Windows. The Browser
Window should have "these instructions" for you to read,
and the Editor Window will be where you are testing
the New Tools and Exploring the Web Page possibilities.
All of "the other"
pages in Chapter 10 describe the various methods
for creating "your own" Web Page. There
are (basically) 4 suggested Web Page Creation Methods.
To complete the WebStudy requirements
You MUST create your own Web Page...,
You may choose any one, or a "combination" of these pages...,
and /or page ideas!
- 1) Open a Blank
Editor Window ...and begin typing. This
is actually the most difficult method for Beginners.
- 2) Open a
New Page with a Templet. These are GOOD
Templets that Netscape provides as a beginning point.
- 3) Open a New
Page with the Page Wizard. This technique
"takes information"..., and converts it to a Web Page
- 4) Editing an existing Page. This
is a recommended (a straight forward) method. (Outlined Lesson 12)
Note: Methods
1, 2, and 3 are described in "first few pages" of Lesson
10.
Remember..., it takes a while to get accustomed to
all the "tools" and "options" ...if you keep reading
(Chapters 10 through 12) will help you with "learning options"
and "exercises".
