Finding External Funding Through GrantForward
GrantForward is a searchable database made available at no extra charge for anyone with an "ou.edu" email address. Conduct searches here to find a list of funding sources curated to your interests. Set up automated email alerts to inform you of any additional funding opportunities that are added to the database.
Connecting Across the University of Oklahoma
The Office of the Vice President of Research and Partnerships hosts university-wide Strategic Verticals Institutes that provide the basis for incentivizing the convergence of transdisciplinary teams of OU faculty, staff, and students to tackle and contribute solutions to some of the defining societal challenges of our time such as social inequality, climate change, energy, health pandemics, national security and global stability, and others. Cross-Cutting Foundations are additional nucleation points for converging transdisciplinary teams across enabling capabilities.
Submitting Proposals and Negotiating Grants and Contracts
Office of Research Services supports externally funded research and sponsored activities within the university community. The office has responsibility for pre-award and award administration.
Research Financial Services
Research Financial Services provides assistance with Research & Creative Activity expenditures on external accounts and is responsible for all activities concerning external and internal audits. It is assigned the responsibility of assuring compliance of cost sharing, effort reporting, cost allowance, and both direct and indirect facilities and administrative cost allocations.

OU Libraries provides consulting, training, and tools to support faculty in their Research and Creative Activities.
OU Office of Innovation & Corporate Partnerships (OICP)
The OU Office of Innovation & Corporate Partnerships (OICP) supports our innovators--be they faculty, students or staff from any OU location--in moving transformative technologies from the lab to the marketplace. OICP does this in a variety of ways that focus on the transfer of technologies via licensing or other means, engaging with industry and business partners in meaningful and productive relationships and in building access to captial and talent.
