Her recent projects include examination of experiences of becoming a mother among the Keetoowah and Keetoowah elders, a study of the impacts of COVID-19 on the transition of becoming a mother and amplification of maternal mental health disparities, a study evaluating the intersections of historical trauma and birthing environment on maternal mental health outcomes, and a community-based evaluation of functionality and improvement of street medicine in Hawai'i.
