OU Sociology Associate Professor Martin Piotrowski was invited to present at a panel discussion on Migration Processes in Ukraine during the Russian invasion of 2022. This discussion was hosted by the Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology (CSDE) at the University of Washington. The conversation focused on timely and demographically informed approaches to understanding Ukrainian migration during this Russian invasion. Co-Panelists include Brienna Perelli-Harris (Professor of Demography at University of Southampton) and Cynthia Buckley (Professor of Sociology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign). Panelists discussed their own and others’ research on migration before the armed conflict, Ukrainian refugees in Poland, and internally displaced persons in Ukraine.
