The department of sociology is proud to introduce the newest member of our faculty, Assistant Professor Dan Wang! Professor Wang will join us in Fall 2022 from University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she has completed her PhD from the Department of Child, Youth, and Family Studies with a minor in Quantitative, Qualitative, and Pshcometric Methods. Dr. Wang's research focuses on understanding how multiple contexts shape child and family outcomes and how scholars as well as practitioners can promote health and well-being among vulnerable populations. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Affective Disorders and Journal of Youth and Adolescence; practical journals, such as the Journal of Extension; and technical reports. Before completing her doctoral degree, Dr. Wang served as an assistant project manager for the Gallup Corporation Shanghai office in China. Dr. Wang is excited to launch her interdisciplinary and international research while supporting student growth in OU Sociology.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Dan Wang to OU’s Department of Sociology.
We are so happy to have her as part of our intellectual community!
