Congratulation to OU Sociology's Dr. Sam Perry who recently received the Award for Excellence in Research in the Social Sciences from OU's Vice President for Research and Partnerships. During his seven years at OU, Dr. Perry has published 4 books, over 100 peer reviewed articles, and won numerous award for his research productivity. He employs mixed methods, integrating data from large national surveys, qualitative interviews, ethnography, experiments, big data sources, and content analyses. His collaborative work with faculty and graduate students continues to explore the intersections of American religion, race, and political power using survey and experimental designs.
