Congratulations to our Ph.D. student, Melissa Maxey! Melissa was elected to serve as one of two Student Representatives on the Society for the Study of Social Problems (SSSP) national Board of Directors for the 2019-21 term. As a Board member, Melissa will help manage the affairs of the Society, which focuses on the pursuit of social justice through social research and to promote sociological research and teaching.
