Elizabeth R. Nelson earned a clinical master’s degree in counseling and is a practicing LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) supervisor for LPC candidates. Having 15 years of experience in the mental health field with additional training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Helping children and families continue to process their trauma is imperative for the journey of overall wellness. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for South Central CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) of Oklahoma. She has also been Governor Appointed to serve on the State Advisory Board for PARB (Post Adjudicated Review Board) and still serves at the county level of PARB as well. A full-time faculty member of the Department of Psychology at OU. Teaching courses like Law, Counseling, & Psychology has been such a joy. Helping undergraduates’ students discover the next steps post-graduation has become a passion and will continue to be a goal for many years to come.
