BA, Psychology with minors in Native American Studies, Spanish and Human Relations, University of Oklahoma, In Progress
I am proud to be Kiowa Apache and a first-generation student here at OU. Here I help represent Native women in the OU chapter, Gamma Delta Pi where I have met many lovely sisters. I am also overjoyed to represent my own tribe, the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma, at OU with my achievements along with my hard-working mother who supports me through my accomplishments. It is an honor to be given the chance to explore my opportunities on how to give back to my community as my community has done for me.
I am interested in the field of Psychology and Social Work. Some of my expertise include conducting research, critical thinking skills, and communication skills.
I have been a recipient of the College of Arts and Science Dean's honor roll every semester since Spring 2021. Furthermore, I have had the pleasure to have been rewarded by my tribe's Indigenous Education Grant for my academic excellence. I have recognized further through the Sooner's traditions for being a first-generation student, the Robert E & Mary B Sturgis scholarship, and OU AIAS F. Browning Pipestem Scholarship.
In the summer of 2022, I was given the opportunity through the UReCA Summer Fellowship to conduct a research activity on Indigenous language preservation of the Nahuatl language group in southern Mexico.
I have skills in customer service, retention, and email marketing.
Currently ecstatic to be working on the NAS Mellons Fellowship for 2022 through 2023!
