Hello! I am Alyssa Wind, and I am a proud member of the Ak-Chin Indian Community based in Arizona, where my mother's family resides. I also recognize my father's side, where I am also Sac and Fox, Muscogee(Creek), and Cherokee. I attended my first two years of college at the College of the Muscogee Nation in Okmulgee. There, I received many teachings from my Muscogee elders, and it was there that I served as Chapter President for our honor society at Phi Theta Kappa. I am proud of our work and excited to contribute what I can at the University of Oklahoma. I hope to use my teachings to help my tribal communities in any way I can.
