On the recommendation of David Wrobel, Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, Dr. Raymond Orr will be appointed to a four-year term as Chair of the Department of Native American Studies.
Dr. Orr joined the department as an Associate Professor in January 2018 and has served as Interim Department Chair since January 2020.
Major initiatives during his term as Interim Chair were developing a strategic plan for the department, securing grant funding, a focused review of the curriculum, and the continued effort to recruit students and faculty.
