Profile

Giuseppe joined the University of Oklahoma as an Instructor of Italian in the Fall of 2023. Before OU, he taught at Rutgers University, Colgate University, and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Giuseppe is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Italian Studies at Rutgers University. He earned a B.A. in Asian and North African Studies from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and an M.A. in Chinese Language and Literature from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Giuseppe earned an M.A. in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Capital Normal University in China. Before college, he attended the Red Cross Nordic United World College in Norway.

Giuseppe’s main teaching and research interests revolve around language pedagogy, contemporary world literature, contemporary Italian literature and cinema, HIV/AIDS literature and cinema, and translation studies.

At OU, Giuseppe teaches various Italian language and culture classes, including elementary and intermediate Italian, Italian Pop Culture, Italian Cinema, and various micro-courses titled Made in Italy.

Giuseppe enjoys swimming, traveling, listening to pop music, and volunteering for local organizations in his free time.
