Ph.D. Student

Hannah Zinn is a Ph.D. student studying Modern European History under the direction of Dr. Melissa Stockdale. Hannah graduated with a BA in English—Creative Writing from the University of Oklahoma in 1994. After time spent living abroad in Russia, she returned to OU and in 2009 completed her MA in History with the thesis titled: 'Instructions of a Mother: Rodina Mat and the Influence of the Myth of the Spartan Mother on Soviet National Consciousness'. Her current project is an urban memory study which examines the rebuilding of the Hero city Stalingrad after World War II.
