In the Dale Hall Tower Community Room (9th Floor) there will be an event to celebrate Emeritus Rothbaum Professor of History David Levy and his many contributions to OU and to the history profession.

This event will feature brief comments by Rob Griswold, Kyle Harper, David Wrobel, Alan Levenson, and Ron Schleifer--with a reception to follow. The event will be open to the public.

Dr. Levy is perhaps best known locally for writing a two-volume history of the University of Oklahoma (which I will ask Janie to display in the main office when we return from the weather closure), and for writing the text of all the plaques around campus that describe the history of the various buildings. But he is additionally the author of many books on U.S. intellectual and cultural history. His most recent book, Sooner Dough Boys Write Home from OU Press, was released this year.
