CLASSICS AND LETTERS ADVISING

Advising appointments with a department academic advisor are mandatory for each semester prior to enrollment. This is to ensure that the student is aware of and enrolling in courses approved to cover general education and major requirements. An advising hold is automatically placed on student accounts to prevent enrollment for the upcoming semester until an assigned advisor removes the hold. Advising for upcoming course enrollment begins prior to each semester's enrollment, but students who have general questions about their major may email or make an appointment with an assigned advisor through iAdvise at any time.

There are different types of appointments students can schedule: In-person or Zoom. If a student's GPA is satisfactory and they have met with the Classics and Letter's advisor to discuss options and requirements, email correspondence may be an adequate option for semester advisement.

To schedule an appointment, advisor availability can be found through iAdvise or a student can call the College of Arts & Sciences Front Desk at 405-325-4411 during regular business hours (M-F, 8a-5p).

After the appointment is made, the student will receive an automatic confirmation email.
