Lori L. Jervis, Professor of Anthropology and a Co-Director of the Center for Applied Social Research
Dr. Jervis a Medical Anthropologist and Gerontologist who works with American Indian and other underserved rural populations.
Research interests include Native elder mistreatment; end-of-life care; post-colonial cultural dislocation and trauma; cognitive impairment and psychiatric disorders; nursing homes and institutional care; the food environment; and responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Jervis also researches human-animal interaction across cultures, specifically human-canine (free-roaming dogs) and human-avian relationships.
