Introduction

In this course you will be using MasteringBiology^®, an online program that accompanies your textbook, for weekly quizzes. If you have joined a MasteringBiology course before and can still log in, save time by following the guide for joining another course available from www.masteringbiology.com > Tours & Training > Getting Started (instead of this information below).

What You Need (more details can be found on the MasteringBiology document in our D2L Links):

• Your OU email address
• A student access code: This comes in the Student Access Code Card/Kit that may have been packaged with your new textbook, may be available separately in your school’s bookstore, or can be purchased online at www.masteringbiology.com.
• The ZIP code for your school
• A Course ID

MasteringBiology Assignment

1. Register as a MasteringBiology user at www.masteringbiology.com
2. Join this BIOL 1003 course after logged in
3. Go through the "Introduction to MasteringBiology" homework assignment on that site.

The MasteringBiology system will record your attempts and you will be awarded 3 points. Your instructor will manually move those points over to the D2L gradebook in a few days.
