History: BIOL 1003 was created in 2004 by Dr. Mariëlle Hoefnagels as a 100% online course (asynchronous, no campus visits), built for the non-biology major. Small updates to the course took place from 2004 to 2015 to keep the course content fresh. Mr. Mark Walvoord undertook a larger overhaul for the fall 2015 semester to: integrate more learning technologies, shift the focus for a few of the contemporary issues, move the assignment prompts from the world wide web* to a learning management system (D2L), and adopt a new textbook.
Next Steps: Ready to enroll? Login to Ozone and enroll as soon as you can (once your enrollment window opens). Currently only one section is offered each fall and spring, with an enrollment of 30 students. So, there is usually a waitlist leading up the start of the semester. Hope to "see" you there!
