Session Descriptions

During the opening session, you will hear a warm welcome from current student leaders and OU leadership. We will walk you through what to expect at the event and guide you through common questions you may have at this stage of the post-admissions process.

  • During this time, you will have the opportunity to connect with the academic college of your choice to learn more about engagement, classroom experiences, faculty, programs, career opportunities, and more within your specific area of interest!

  • If you are unsure of what academic college your major falls into, visit our academics page.

Campus tours will be offered throughout the day led by current student tour guides who will show you a behind the scenes look at campus.

All incoming first-year students are guaranteed an on-campus housing experience. Many on-campus residence halls will be open this day for you to walk through various living community options. You will get to take a closer look at what distinguishes each living option as well as see where community is built.

On this day you can explore:

  • Cross Village

  • Couch Center

  • Dunham College

  • Headington Hall

To get a jumpstart on exploring housing, you can learn more about the different residence halls and navigate the varying housing rates per community.

Meal plan information is also available online.

Connect with a variety of student organizations and programs available to you on-campus. Start seeing where you can build and connect with other parts of the OU community during this portion of the event.

Each student attendee will receive a free ticket to eat lunch Couch Restaurants to use from 11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Each guest meal will be $10.

To help with Couch Restaurants meal time capacity, upon registration you will select a time to each lunch. We ask that all guests honor this dining window. Guests can also opt to do lunch on their own at another location on or near campus.

There is so much more to explore across campus. Stop by an open house to learn more about different resources, departments, and programs across campus!

We will have staff available to help you navigate your post-admissions steps and questions!

A great starting point is checking your OU Bound portal to see what you still may need to complete ahead of the event day.
