As a student, where did you leave your mark on campus?

I was a resident advisor for three years, on the Black Student Association Exec for three years, as well as a participant in the Miss Black OU and Miss OU Pageants.

Define the OU Family in your own words.

The OU Family simply means that people care about each other. I had a hard time adjusting to life at OU, and faculty and staff members saw that, reached out to me and got me plugged in on campus. The OU Family is why I graduated from OU!

When was the moment you felt the greatest Sooner pride?

I felt the greatest pride as a Sooner after we beat three of the top teams in the nation in football in the 2000 season. The last team we beat was Nebraska at Owen Field. The goal posts came down and there was just sheer pandemonium all over campus. 

What was the greatest gift you took with you after graduation?

Simply stated…friends. I made the friends of a lifetime at OU.

What is your favorite OU tradition?

My favorite OU tradition happens all over the world….being able to say “Boomer” and getting “Sooner” in response!
