Political Science and Sociology- Pre-Law degree from Oklahoma State University
I did not attend OU as an undergrad. I went to Oklahoma State University in Tulsa. I was a non-traditional student that worked full time and went to school part time. I was in the Tulsa Chapter for Phi Sigma Pi OSU, Debate Club, and Student Council. I was very involved with a study group and spent a lot time helping classmates find library resources for case law studies.
I feel like everyone has such a passion and enjoyment to be excited to have this career. That is such a special and encouraging thing to see as a new employee. I feel the positive energy and it is contagious!
I grew up watching Sooner football with my Dad. He passed away in 2000 and the last game I got to watch with him was OU vs Texas Tech. We intercepted the ball with six minutes left on the clock and scored the winning touch down. That was 21 years ago and I remember it like yesterday. That was a true Sooner Pride Moment.
I graduated 13 years ago. The best advice I ever gave myself was to stick with it. Even when it is hard. I didn't drop a class or quit. I fought through it. I think it really made me accountable.
I liked the story about the sand in the bricks and the fountain.
Not sure yet.
I would say to really give yourself self care while studying and dealing with deadlines. Plenty of sleep, water, exercise, healthy foods, etc.
