Enrollment Services Reorganization Announced
The University of Oklahoma’s Division of Enrollment Management, formerly known as Enrollment and Student Financial Services, was recently renamed and reorganized to position itself to best serve students throughout their OU careers.
Departments within Enrollment Management include the Office of Admissions and Recruitment, Financial Aid Services, the Office of the Registrar, the Student Financial Center, the Scholarship Office, Enrollment Management Communications, and MidFirst Bank MoneyCoach Program and Veteran Student Services.
“Enrollment Management is a term of art in higher education nationally, and this move aligns our thoughts and actions with what the Big 12 and other universities are doing,” explained Jeff Blahnik, who is leading the division as senior associate vice president. Enrollment Management continues to be part of Academic Affairs. “It refers to the idea that there is a continuum of experience between the point of being a prospective student through graduation. All our departments should intersect and work in tandem to ensure a smooth experience for each student.”
In addition to the name change, some restructuring has occurred within Enrollment Management, including:
- The designation of one Office of the Registrar to replace the offices of Enrollment Services and Academic Records. Kellie Dyer, who has extensive experience at OU within the Office of Admissions and Recruitment, is serving as interim registrar.
- The Admissions and Recruitment Communications area, led by Danielle Dunn, has been extended to Enrollment Management Communications. The office plans to focus on excellent and consistent communication and customer service for prospective students and current students alike as they intersect with the division throughout their OU careers.
- The MidFirst Bank MoneyCoach Program is joining the Enrollment division and will work in a coordinated way with the Student Financial Center to interface with both prospective and current students and help students find solutions and develop plans to afford an OU education.
“We are focused on best practices so that all those who come in contact with the Division are receiving an experience that matches or, ideally, exceeds the experience they would receive at other institutions,” Blahnik said. “We want to be known as a division that exhibits integrity, care for each person, intentionality in our work, and innovation to be the very best we can be.”
All student services will continue under the Division of Enrollment Management. The MidFirst Bank MoneyCoach Program is still located in Couch Center on the second floor and the Office of the Registrar is located on the second floor of Buchanan Hall. Students with a billing, financial aid or scholarship question are encouraged to email sfc@ou.edu, call (405) 325-9000, or visit the Student Financial Center located on the first floor of Buchanan Hall, Room 105. The Student Financial Center is open for visitors 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
