Oklahoma Children’s Hospital at OU Health has launched a convenient pediatric virtual urgent care program.

Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, parents and guardians can access the service online at OklahomaChildrens.org/virtualcare, and advance appointments are not required.

Visits are conducted virtually by Oklahoma Children’s Hospital Emergency Department clinicians.

The cost per visit is $25; however, OU Health offers a $10 discount on these virtual visits for the dependents of all OU faculty, staff and students. Insurance is not required.

The pediatric virtual urgent care service is available for any child ages 0-17 located in Oklahoma to treat non-emergency issues. Common conditions include, but are not limited to, rashes, pink eye, respiratory illness, bug bites and skin/nail problems.

How does pediatric virtual urgent care work?

Visit online at OklahomaChildrens.org/virtualcare. A parent or guardian must create an account for themselves and their dependent. Choose from a set of dynamic smart questionnaires, which ask thorough questions on patient health history and patient symptoms. Smart questionnaires take less than 15 minutes.

A care plan is typically sent from the clinician in less than one hour during normal business hours, or first thing the next morning if the visit is completed after hours.

If a prescription is part of the care plan, and the parent/guardian can select the pharmacy of their choice.

How do I get the discounted OU rate?

Create an account at OklahomaChildrens.org/virtualcare. Register with your ou.edu or ouhsc.edu email address to qualify for the OU Health $10 discount.

If it is a true medical emergency, call 911 or safely drive to the nearest ER. Oklahoma Children’s Hospital has a 24/7 pediatric emergency room, staffed by pediatric emergency specialists.
