Computer Science Interview Prep (CSIP)
Alpha Sigma Kappa

Alpha Sigma Kappa – Women in Technical Studies

The purpose of Sigma Kappa Sorority is to provide women lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual and spiritual development by bringing women together to positively impact our communities.

Student Association for Computing Machinery (SACM)
Association for Computing Machinery

The Association for Computing Machinery’s mission is to promote interest in computers and related fields amongst students, faculty, and the community. We foster a community of computer science and engineering students by providing opportunities for members to learn and grow as professionals in the field, and encourage collaboration and networking among members.

OU Artificial Intelligence
AI/ML Club

The purpose of this the AI/ML Club is to provide a welcoming and nurturing atmosphere where any individual of the community shall be ispired to explore the disciplines of artificial intelligence and machine learning while promoting innovation and scholarship.

The purpose of the organization is to promote improvement in both the academic and social environment for Computer Science graduate students.

Computer Science Student Board (CSSB)
Computer Science Student Board

By working with all of the specialized student organizations within the department, we work to increase student participation. We give younger students opportunities to form friendships with their community, and it would expose them to student leaders who would act as mentors. Overall, CSSB creates a community of student leaders who are excited to take initiative to continue improving the department.

The purpose of this organization is to foster the high ideals of the Engineering profession and to stimulate interest in engineering related activities, with members from both the College of Engineering and the College of Earth and Energy.

Game Developer Association (GDA)
Game Developer's Association

The purpose of the organization is to introduce and hone skills related to game design and development within a diverse group of people who specialize in programming, art, music, and other applicable skills. Individuals may work together to create anything from specialized game assets to full-fledged video games. We are a Computer Science organization.

Hacklahoma
Hacklahoma

Our mission is to kindle creativity and innovation in our community. Although we are a CS organization, we invite students across all disciplines to collaborate, develop, and share their projects with us through a 24-hour hackathon at the University of Oklahoma. Our event-planning committee is comprised of Operations, Marketing, Sponsoring & Finance, and Technology, each tasked with handling their respective goals and objectives in pursuit of hosting a successful annual event.

OU User-Experience and User-Interface club is focused on educating students on product research, design, and front-end development through hands on experience, community, and networking. We will provide many opportunities for students to explore the field by hosting networking events and workshops for students, competing in design challenges and competitions, and more.

Dev Hub
Dev Hub

The purpose of the organization is to create a campus space for students from all majors who are interested in software development and related fields. Dev Hub aims to assist students in acquiring the skills necessary for a career in software development, regardless of their current skill level. Students will be guided through the process of creating a software product within a specific niche and will have the opportunity to showcase their learning through participation in a long-term, beginner-friendly competition.

Engineers Serving Others is a student organization at the University of Oklahoma that utilizes the unique skillsets of engineers to fulfill the needs of nonprofit organizations in the Norman community and surrounding areas.  We specialize in providing tangible solutions to the technical and structural obstacles faced by our nonprofit partners.  We are public servants, professionals, and advocates.

Out in STEM

oSTEM is a national society dedicated to educating and fostering leadership for LGBTQ+ communities in STEM fields. This organization has been built by students, for students who are working to create a world where all members of the STEM community can pursue their work in a safe, supportive environment that celebrates their contributions and differences. Membership is open to all.

Sooner Rover
Sooner Rover Team

The Sooner Rover Team is an interdisciplinary competition team in the GCoE that designs, builds, and tests a Mars rover prototype to compete in the annual University Rover Challenge. Through hands-on engineering experience as well as an emphasis on mentoring and leadership, the Sooner Rover Team strives to create an environment for engineering students to build the skills necessary for career success. Through mechanical and electrical design, computer programming, and soil sample analysis, our team has over 50 students from 9 different majors.
