Jake received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Eastern Illinois University and recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a master's degree in educational psychology with a specialization in applied cognition and development. Jake and his partner moved to Oklahoma a little over a year ago and have both grown to love OU in that time.

His passion for academic advising stems from his own personal journey through academia. Having been a first-generation college student, Jake knows firsthand how important the advice, guidance, and support of an academic advisor can be. Jake believes that if at the end of the day, he can be the encouragement that makes a difference for even just one student, then it will have been worth it.

Jake comes from a relatively large family with three brothers, two sisters, and more extended family than he can keep track of. In his spare time, he enjoys writing, exercising, playing the piano, and going out to eat. Jake and his partner also have a Corgi named Stella who has quickly become the center of their world.

Jake is incredibly thrilled to be part of the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences and can't wait to start making a difference!
