Join the Office of Admissions & Recruitment for our annual Crimson Summit. Learn more about our incredible programs to best assist the students and community you work with. You will be provided with a message from the 15th President of the University of Oklahoma, Joseph Harroz Jr.; learn about helpful resources for your students, engage with OU faculty, staff, and students over lunch and get behind the scenes tours of some of our new spaces/resource offices!

Attendees will receive a special OU item, professional development certificate, and a one-time fee waiver for an applicant to apply to OU. Additional giveaways will be presented throughout the event.

For: For high school principals, counselors, advisors, registrars, Indian Education Directors, Tribal Educators, community-based organizations, leaders, transfer institution partners, and superintendents.

8:15 am to 8:50 am - Check in at Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art
Light breakfast refreshments and coffee will be available

9:00 am - Opening Session

9:05 am - Keynote | OU President Joseph Harroz Jr. 

9:20 am - OU Student Panel

9:40 am - OU Admissions Overview & Campus Updates

10:25 am - Session 1 

11:15 am - Session 2 

12:10 pm - Lunch & OU Partner Fair 

1:30 pm - Post-Conference Sessions 

2:30 pm - Event Concludes
Attendees will receive a professional development certificate in their thank-you email for attending the event.

Session Options and Descriptions

  • Supporting First-Year Students and Beyond: Introducing OU's Academic Success Center: This session will highlight the ongoing support and resources for all undergraduate students at the university. The Academic Success Center (formerly known as 'University College') offers services and programs that support students in developing the academic skills for learning across disciplines and to provide guidance for students that allows them to achieve academic success at the University of Oklahoma

  • Paying for OU | Financial Aid, Grants, and Scholarships: This presentation is designed to give you an overview of the financial resources we provide students their freshman through senior year. It will cover financial aid, college affordability, scholarships, grants, Oklahoma's Promise, paying non-resident tuition, and more! NOTE: This session is offered during each breakout session time. 

  • Pathways through OU for Students with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities: Learn more about unique programs at OU that help students with learning differences and abilities achieve success at OU:

    • Sooner Works - Sooner Works is a four-year comprehensive integrated program for students with an intellectual or developmental disability who desire a postsecondary experience on a college campus

    • Spark 360 - It is designed to support autistic students seeking an undergraduate degree* as they navigate the hidden college curriculum. The program provides full circle support for participating students through academic planning, transition support, employment skills, independent living, and social development. 

    • Accessibility & Disability Resource Center -  The Accessibility and Disability Resource Center provides accommodations to students with a wide variety of disabilities not only in the academic setting but in on-campus residences. Our mission is to ensure students have equal access to educational opportunities while in the collegiate environment.

Connect with OU's academic programs, student resources, and key campus departments after you enjoy lunch! Enjoy several fun photo ops as well. 

  • Campus Tour: This tour will feature a brief look inside the Oklahoma Memorial Football Stadium and other OU campus highlights. 

  • Housing Tour: This tour will focus on the residence hall options for first-year students at OU. We will showcase Cross Village, Couch Center, Dunham Residential College, and take a look at a showroom for the NEW housing facility opening in Fall 2025! 

  • The Dodge Tour: Come explore the brand new Dodge Family College of Arts & Sciences Student Success Center, 'The Dodge', and learn more about OU's first and largest academic college! 

  • I need to leave after lunch: That's okay! We understand. Select this option if your day will need to end after lunch. We will ensure you get back to your vehicle so you can leave campus.
