Student life is the heart of the OU experience. By getting involved on campus, students make life-long connections and unforgettable memories. We encourage all of our students to get involved early, and there are plenty (400+ to be exact) of opportunities to choose from!
Camp Crimson is OU’s premier orientation camp for new Sooners. It is a three-day, two-night crash course on what it means to be a Sooner and how to succeed at OU. You’ll get a jump-start on your time here at OU by meeting other new students, current student counselors and OU faculty and staff members.
Leadership and Volunteerism
The mission of Leadership and Volunteerism is to empower students to become effective leaders and active community members through participation in varied experiences, programs and services.

Fitness and Recreation Center
Looking to stay in shape while you’re at OU? Look no further than than the Sarkeys Fitness Center. Conveniently located near the Residential Halls, this massive recreation area is great for exercise and weight lifting as well as various racket sports, basketball, volleyball and even a rock wall. Students can enroll in fitness classes such as yoga, karate and much more.
