One of the first two Zarrow Center for Learning Enrichment doctorates, Dr. Sandra K. Ludwig earned her Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Oklahoma in 2002. She earned both her M.Ed. (1984) and B.Ed. (1977) degrees from the University of Hawaii. Dr. Ludwig is currently the principal of VISTA Academy, an alternative secondary school within the Moore, Oklahoma Public School district. Previously, she taught special education for 8 years at Moore High School and three years as assistant principal at Central Junior High School.
While in the classroom, Dr. Ludwig taught students with mild/moderate and emotional disabilities and became active in training teachers to use the Strategy Intervention Model (SIM) for students with learning problems. She is currently only one of three SIM trainers in the state of Oklahoma and teaches pre-service training as an adjunct professor for the University of Oklahoma. |
