Carrie worked for the Zarrow Center during the 2002-2003 school year. She is presently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at OU. Carrie earned her Bachelors degree in Biology at the University of Arkansas, and she obtained her Masters degree in Community Counseling from the University of Oklahoma. Between obtaining her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, Carrie taught elementary, junior and high school students for two years in Brazil. Currently, she is working with Lori Peterson and Jamie Van Dyke on a research study to aid students with disabilities to implement their own plan of study during high school and after high school, and to increase the students’ contributions to their plan of study at the Individualized Education Plan meetings. Carrie is a member of the American Psychological Association and Diversity Appreciation Group. |
