NORMAN — Kenton Brice, director of technology innovation at the OU College of Law, has been included in the 2018 Fastcase 50, an award that honors the top 50 legal technology innovators in the nation.
Each year, the legal research service Fastcase honors the legal profession’s “smartest, most courageous innovators, techies, visionaries and leaders in the law” with the Fastcase 50 awards. Lawyers, legal technologists, policymakers, judges, law librarians, bar association executives and others are included in the annual honors.
“Kenton Brice’s expertise and enthusiasm have been critical to not only the success of the Digital Initiative at OU Law, but to advancing the national conversation and the application of technology in the practice of law,” said OU College of Law Dean Joseph Harroz Jr. “Through Kenton’s leadership of the OU Law Center for Technology and Innovation in Practice, OU Law has earned the reputation as one of the top law schools worldwide for producing practice-ready graduates. He is incredibly deserving of this recognition.”
Brice joined the OU College of Law in 2015 as the college’s first digital resources librarian. Last year, he was promoted to director of technology innovation, where he leads OU Law’s technology efforts. With the launch of the OU Law Center for Technology and Innovation in Practice in 2017, Brice engages with academics, policymakers and industry experts to research and implement the practical use of technology in legal education.
