NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma Board of Regents will consider approving a Bachelor of Public Health program to be offered in partnership by the Norman and Health Sciences Center campuses as well as resolutions honoring the achievements of multiple OU Athletics programs when it meets on Thursday, May 10, in Norman. Agenda items for Cameron University, Rogers State University and OU will be considered beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the Scholars Room of Oklahoma Memorial Union, 900 Asp Ave.

The board will consider approving a Bachelor of Public Health as a collaborative program offered between the College of Arts and Sciences on the OU Norman campus and the College of Public Health at the OU Health Sciences Center campus. Through the proposed joint degree program, a student may study at more than one campus and be awarded a single academic degree from both. The BPH is designed to a focused curriculum in public health, where students complete core curriculum on the Norman campus, while a mentored clinical experience and final coursework is to be provided through the Health Sciences Center.

The board also will present resolutions honoring the achievements of the following OU Athletics teams: football, men’s golf, men’s gymnastics, women’s gymnastics and softball.

The next regular meeting of the OU Board of Regents is currently scheduled for June 18-19 in Norman.
